Description

The ‘1 Hour Pain Education Session’ is a consultation with our physiotherapist, who is trained in neuroscience and cognitive functional therapies, in order to desensitise your problematic body part(s). This consultation can be done online or one-to one, whichever way you prefer.

Through evidence-based approaches, we teach our clients about pain, the triggers and includes elements of movement coaching in order to bring the body into balance.

Balance Physio Clinic will help you to create the right strategy to move freely, without pain, so that you can enjoy your freedom of movement and your body.

For chronic musculoskeletal pain disorders, there is compelling evidence that an educational strategy addressing the neurophysiology and neurobiology of pain can have a positive effect on pain and recovery.

For example, the use of a neuroscience education (pain education) approach in the treatment of chronic lower back pain is very essential. The classification-based cognitive functional therapy produced superior outcomes for non-specific chronic lower back pain, compared with traditional manual therapy and exercise. In our clinic, we can provide a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, manual therapy and exercise (rehabilitation). This combination has the highest success for treatment of chronic lower back pain.
