What is dry needling?
Dry needling in combination with manual release techniques (a hands on approach) works really well to help speed up the recovery process in injuries or chronic pain.

Conditions treated
Dry needling has provided evidence in the role of treating myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) and has aided in the management of several musculoskeletal disorders. These disorders can include lower back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain caused by strains/ sprains or developed with gradual onset, subacromial pain syndrome, Achilles tendonitis, myofascial pain syndrome, temporomandibular disorders, tendinopathies, fibromyalgia, plantar heel pain, and many more.

Dry needling research
Research has shown that dry needling has similar effects to pharmacological interventions for enhancing your body’s range of motion and your quality of life (Please see: Dry needling in the management of myofascial trigger points: A systematic review of randomized controlled trials; 2017). Results have shown that dry needle treatment alone, or as an addition to standard physical treatment, was effective in reducing pain intensity in patients suffering from Muscle trigger points.

Dry needling is a thoroughly researched and evidence-based treatment and has been scientifically proven to help treat musculoskeletal dysfunction.
